Naanga worked for Bloomberg TV in Mongolia before joining the Global Business Journalism program in 2016. She quickly made a name for herself as a superb storyteller and multimedia star.

Naanga developed a deep interest in poverty alleviation efforts both in China and her native Mongolia. She reported on ways in which the Chinese government had combatted the problem and the challenges remaining for her home country. Her master's project was chosen as the best journalism portfolio of 2018 and she was selected as a class valedictorian.

Since her graduation, Naanga has worked to train Mongolian journalists in data journalism tools and techniques.
