Corazon Scheppy of the United States was chosen to speak as the student representative at the 2025 Global Business Journalism commencement celebration. Global Business Journalism co-director Rick Dunham was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 2025 GBJ commencement. While political tensions between their nations run high, these people-to-people exchanges maintain a human link that has kept the bilateral relationship going through diplomatic crises, the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainties of two Trump presidencies.
