Early application deadline for GBJ coming soon: December 31

Applying to the Global Business Journalism program is not difficult. Just follow the instructions laid out by Faezeh Mirzabeh in her YouTube video.

The end of 2025 is also the end of the first round of applications to the Global Business Journalism program.

And while the final application deadline for the 2026-2027 academic year is not until April 15, 2026, there are significant benefits to applying early.

"GBJ applicants have a far better chance of getting financial assistance if they apply by the end of the year," GBJ co-director Rick Dunham said. "While your chance of acceptance is the same no matter when you apply, your chance of full scholarship diminishes if you wait until 2026."

International applicants can get informationcan get detailed information and tips for applying on the GlobalBusinessJournalism.com website. They must formally apply on the official Tsinghua graduate school site.

The two-year English language program, a partnership between the International Center for Journalists and Bloomberg News, is taught by veteran international journalists and Chinese experts in business, economics and academic research. Students from 77 nations have participated in GBJ since its creation in 2007.
