Good afternoon, esteemed faculty, distinguished guests, and fellow students. My name is Amy Magee from the Global Business Journalism master's program.
Today marks a significant milestone in our lives as we stand here, on the verge of a new beginning. We gather here to celebrate the culmination of our hard work and dedication that have led us to this very moment. It is an honor to address you all as we reflect on our journey and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
As graduates of the Masters in Global Business Journalism program at Tsinghua University, we have been equipped with a unique set of skills and knowledge to navigate the complex world of communications and journalism. We have not only learned how to analyze data, craft compelling stories, and interpret global trends but also how to foster cross-cultural understanding and bridge gaps between nations.
Our time at Tsinghua University has been transformative. We come from all around the globe and have created connections that will last a lifetime. We have engaged in lively discussions, faced challenges in our academic and daily lives, and expanded our horizons both culturally and academically. The diversity of experiences and perspectives within our cohort has been instrumental in shaping our growth and broadening our worldview.
During our time at Tsinghua, we have also had the privilege of living in Beijing, a city that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation. This vibrant city has provided us with a once-in a-lifetime opportunity for learning, exploring, and immersing ourselves in a culture that is rich in history and possibility. The experiences we have had in this city will forever shape our understanding of China.
Now, as we prepare to embark on the next chapter of our lives, we must not forget the responsibility that comes with the privilege of education. It is up to us, as graduates in global business journalism, to utilize our skills and knowledge to bring about positive change wherever our lives bring us.
As we venture into the professional world, let us remember the valuable lessons we have learned at Tsinghua University. Let us cherish the friendships we have forged and the memories we have created. Let us embrace diversity, embrace change, and prepare for the infinite possibilities that lie ahead.
In conclusion, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our professors, mentors, and fellow students for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Without their guidance and encouragement, we would not be standing here today.
To my fellow graduates, congratulations on this remarkable achievement. As we take our next steps, let us continue to strive for excellence, to pursue our passions, and to make a positive impact on the world around us.
Thank you, and best of luck to everyone.
